Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain the correct parts and supplies needed for the operation.

Responsibilities include setting up work areas, fitting parts per instructions, using hand tools, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment while recording production data and ensuring quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work area setup and ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Assemble parts according to instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stack, cover, label, and band components as required.
  • Maintain production records and check materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00/hour dependent on experience

Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
