Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts or assemble products per customer specifications. The role focuses on securing materials and maintaining accuracy throughout the process.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, aligning parts per instructions, and operating hand tools to complete the assembly. A safe, clean, and organized workspace is required for daily production and quality checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as requiredChecks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00/hour dependent on experience
