Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. The role ensures correct parts availability and adherence to required quality standards.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, assembling parts with hand tools, and maintaining safe, clean work environments. 18+ and basic math skills preferred; 6 months manufacturing experience is a plus; competitive hourly pay with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: ($18.00 - $20.00/hour) dependent on experience*
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
