Job summary

Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, AL is seeking a Floor Technician/Porter to help keep common areas clean and welcoming for residents. The role includes evening and weekend shifts with starting pay of $15.00 per hour, in a supportive, resident-focused environment.

You will perform cleaning, floors care, room and event setups, and assist with supplies while upholding resident privacy and a safe, comfortable atmosphere for everyone on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience using scrub and extractor machines.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Can understand and follow instructions in English.
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Can lift up to 30 pounds.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Healthcare environmental services experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, and public restrooms.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and care for floors and carpets.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Assist with room and event setups.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies.

Position Details

• Position: Floor Technician/Porter
• Schedule: Part Time Monday-Friday, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
• Part Time, Sat - Sun 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
• Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour
• Location: Galleria Woods Senior Living, Hoover, Alabama

What You'll Do

• Cleaning and maintaining common areas, hallways, and public restrooms
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and caring for floors and carpets
• Collecting and disposing of trash
• Assisting with room and event setups
• Maintaining housekeeping equipment and supplies
• Following daily work assignments and priorities established by supervisors

• Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience using scrub and extractor machines

• Have previous porter, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or healthcare environmental services experience (preferred but not required)
