Job summary

Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, Alabama is hiring a Floor Technician/Porter to keep common areas clean, welcoming, and safe for residents. The role offers part-time evening shifts Monday–Friday 5 p.m.–9 p.m.

and weekend coverage Saturday–Sunday 3 p.m.–7 p.m., with pay starting at $15.00 per hour. You will vacuum, mop, dust, manage trash, assist with room and event setups, and help maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience using scrub and extractor machines.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Can understand and follow instructions in English.
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Can lift up to 30 pounds.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Have previous porter, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or healthcare environmental services experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining common areas, hallways, and public restrooms.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and caring for floors and carpets.
• Collecting and disposing of trash.
• Assisting with room and event setups.
• Maintaining housekeeping equipment and supplies.
• Following daily work assignments and priorities established by supervisors.
• Supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members.
• Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.

What You'll Do
