Overview

Location: Arizona State University West Valley – 1151 S Forest Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281. (Openings at other locations within the district available.)

Schedule: Shift options vary. Full and part‑time positions with flexibility to meet most scheduling needs. Applications accepted online only.

Pay: $17.05 per hour.

Job Summary

Floor Technician responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
