Compass Group is hiring a Floor Technician at St. Thomas West in Nashville for a full‑time evening shift (Sun-S Thu, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). You will maintain and restore hard surfaces, operate industrial floor care equipment, and ensure clean, safe floors across large areas.

The role requires knowledge of floor care methods, compliance with safety procedures, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and commuter

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of floor maintenance principles and uses proper procedures on hard‑surface floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Location & Schedule

Address: St. Thomas West - 4220 Harding Road, Nashville, TN 37205.

Schedule: Full-time schedule; Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. More details upon interview.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard‑floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
