Job summary

Baptist Health in Florida is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to perform daily cleaning and maintenance of floors and carpets, including stripping and refinishing floors and proper disposal of bio-medical waste. The role supports a safe, clean facility for patients, visitors and staff, with exposure to hazardous materials handled in accordance with procedures.

Description

Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards. Strips and refinishes floors. Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated. Perform the above in a manner that consistently delivers exceptional service to patients, guests and others. This position is exposed to hazardous materials and a variety of infectious diseases. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.19 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required

Additional Qualifications

• Floor care experience preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience desired.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with continuous exposure to cleaning agents and dust.
