Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami is seeking an Environmental Services worker to perform daily cleaning and maintenance of floors and carpets across the facility. You will strip and refinish floors and dispose of bio-medical waste in accordance with regulations, while delivering exceptional service to patients and guests.

This role involves exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases, with a pay range of about $16.00–$16.25 per hour depending on experience; sign-on bonus available up to $2,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Floor care experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cleaning agents and dust.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floors and carpets.

Description

Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards. Strips and refinishes floors. Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated. Perform the above in a manner that consistently delivers exceptional service to patients, guests and others. This position is exposed to hazardous materials and a variety of infectious diseases. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.25 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School Diploma, Certificate of attendance, GED, or Experience.

Additional Qualifications

• Floor care experience preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience desired.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with continuous exposure to cleaning agents and dust.
