Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Environmental Services professional to perform daily floor care, cleaning and maintenance across our facilities. You will strip and refinish floors, and properly dispose of regulated waste while delivering exceptional service to patients and staff.

The role requires 1 year of floor care experience, ability to communicate in English, and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. EOE, including disability/vets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent including vocational training credentials.
• Minimum 1 year floor care experience including waxing, stripping and buffering.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily project assignments and routine cleaning/maintenance of hard floors and carpets.
• Strip and refinish floors as required to meet organization standards.
• Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste following regulations and safety procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, guests and staff.

Description

Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards. Strips and refinishes floors. Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated. Perform the above in a manner that consistently delivers exceptional service to patients, guests and others. This position is exposed to hazardous materials and a variety of infectious diseases. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.84 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Additional Qualifications

• Floor care experience preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience desired.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with continuous exposure to cleaning agents and dust.

Minimum Required Experience: 1-year Floor Care experience which includes waxing, stripping and buffering
