Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a facility/environmental services team member. The role involves daily cleaning and maintenance of floors and carpets across the facility, including stripping and refinishing floors, and proper disposal of regulated waste.

You may be exposed to hazardous materials and infectious diseases, with a pay range of $16.00–$17.84 per hour based on experience. Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, certificate, GED or equivalent.
• Floor care experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with cleaning agents and dust.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards.
• Strips and refinishes floors.
• Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated.
• Deliver exceptional service to patients, guests and others; work around hazardous materials and infectious diseases.

Description

Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards. Strips and refinishes floors. Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated. Perform the above in a manner that consistently delivers exceptional service to patients, guests and others. This position is exposed to hazardous materials and a variety of infectious diseases. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.84 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Additional Qualifications

• Floor care experience preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience desired.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with continuous exposure to cleaning agents and dust.
