Job summary

Chimes International LTD in Washington, DC is seeking a Floor Technician to perform daily cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces at the Library of Congress site. Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm–12:00am. Pay rate: $21.40 per hour.

Responsibilities include following contract specs, safe operation of equipment, carpet and floor care, and maintaining cleanliness per agency policies. Prior custodial experience preferred; HS diploma or equivalent encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of floor finishes, applications, and removals.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Agency policies and contract specifications.
• Clean assigned areas per contract specs.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow safety rules and environmental requirements.
