Job summary

Hard Rock International is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility, under the supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager. You will help ensure a welcoming environment for guests and team members.

The role involves operating scrubbers, polishers and carpet cleaning equipment, moving furniture as needed, coordinating with coworkers on multi‑trade projects, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a fast‑paced casino

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Experience with floor care, upholstery and carpet cleaning preferred.
  • Experience using professional pressure washing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cleaning equipment for floor care and maintenance.
  • Perform floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning, and polishing.
  • Move tables and chairs as needed.
  • Coordinate with other workers to complete floor care projects.

Job Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for, under the supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, maintaining clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractors and vacuums cleaners.
  • Handles floor care, stripped and wax, carpet cleaning and shampoo, marble cleaning and polishing, upholstery cleaning.
  • Moving tables and chairs as required.
  • Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects.
  • Assist supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures.
  • Tags equipment for repairs and advise supervisor.
  • Maintenance and cleaning equipment.
  • Performs Floor Attendant job duties if needed.
  • Follows all safety requirements and procedure required for the position.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals is preferred.
  • Experience in deep cleaning upholstery, carpet care, and waxing floors is preferred.
  • Experience using professional commercial pressure washing equipment.
  • Must possess outstanding guest service skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have high standards of cleanliness.
  • Must conduct yourself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida and departmental policies and procedures.
Work Environment
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Required to push cleaning cart and operate vacuums.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
