Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a Floor Tech to support our hospital facilities during night shifts. You will adjust to staff shortages, monitor equipment, and perform cleaning duties across assigned areas with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The position requires 1+ year of floor tech experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate floor-care machinery. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills including mouse and keyboard.
• Ability to climb and work on a ladder.
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance (preferred).
• Ability to safely use floor-care equipment (preferred).
• Demonstrates knowledge of environmental services equipment and chemicals used in the department.
• Ability to assess, correct, and maintain various floor surfaces (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assesses areas of assignment and makes suggestions for improvement to the supervisor, documenting daily assignments completed.
