Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a Floor Technician for 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) in Winona, Minnesota. The role includes floor stripping, waxing, scrubbing and buffing, plus waste removal and window cleaning across patient care areas and public spaces.

Winona Health Services | Environmental Services | Floor Technician | (1.0 FTE) 80 hours a pay period | 2nd Shift, hours from 2:30pm - 11:00pm | Weekends: Every Other | Holidays: Every Third | Starting Pay Range between $16.00 - 19.00

Position Overview

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment through specialized floor care and environmental services throughout the facility. This includes stripping and waxing, scrubbing, and buffing a variety of floor types to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearance.

In addition to floor maintenance, the technician performs waste removal duties, including the handling of infectious and hazardous waste, proper sharps disposal, removal of trash and recycling materials, and the transportation of linens to designated locations. Additionally, this position handles all cleaning of interior and exterior windows within Winona Health.

Working in patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces, the Floor Technician strictly adheres to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliance and protect patient privacy and well-being.

• Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
