Winona Health is hiring a Floor Technician for a 3rd shift (10pm–6:30am) in Winona, MN. This role covers floor care (stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing), waste removal, linen transport, and window cleaning across patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces.
Employees must follow infection control protocols and HIPAA guidelines, complete mandatory education, and work in a clean, safe environment.
$16 USD to $19 USD per hour. Final offers are based on factors including skill, experience, location, qualifications and other reasons.
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment through specialized floor care and environmental services throughout the facility. This includes stripping and waxing, scrubbing, and buffing a variety of floor types to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearance. In addition to floor maintenance, the technician performs waste removal duties, including the handling of infectious and hazardous waste, proper sharps disposal, removal of trash and recycling materials, and the transportation of linens to designated locations. The position also handles all cleaning of interior and exterior windows within Winona Health. Working in patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces, the Floor Technician strictly adheres to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliance and protect patient privacy and well-being.
