Job summary

Casa de las Campanas in Rancho Bernardo, part of LCS (Life Care Services), is hiring a Floor Technician to clean and maintain guest areas and floors. The role requires at least one year of institutional cleaning experience and knowledge of floor care equipment.

Strong English and independent work ethic are essential. The position offers hourly pay of $18.00–$20.00, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 403(b) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, DailyPay, and paid time

Qualifications

• One year of experience in institutional cleaning environment or related work experience.
• Experience in operating floor buffers, waxes, floor strippers, and carpet care.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment, and methods of soil removal.
• Basic math, reading, writing skills to handle inventory and equipment logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned areas of the facility in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans rugs, carpet, and upholstery using vacuum, broom, and shampoo equipment.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
• Collects soiled linen for laundering and maintains housekeeping carts.
• Removes trash and ensures common areas are tidy at shift start and end.

Essential Job Duties:

• Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the facility premises ina clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans rugs, carpet, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, carpet shampoo machine
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors
• Collects soiled linen for laundering
• Maintains housekeeping carts, and removes trash collected by housekeeping teams
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect newspaper bags, newspapers, trash and soiled linens.

All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.00
