Job summary

Casa de las Campanas is seeking a Floor Technician to clean and maintain assigned areas of the facility in a senior living environment. You will perform floor care, carpet cleaning, and general upkeep, ensuring a safe and welcoming setting for residents and guests.

The role requires at least one year of institutional cleaning experience, proficiency with floor buffers and related equipment, and the ability to work independently. Training and a supportive team culture are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in institutional cleaning environment or related work experience.
• Experience in all phases of operating floor buffers, waxes, floor strippers, and carpet care.
• Basic math, reading, writing skills to handle inventory and equipment logs.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and facility premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans rugs, carpet, and upholstered furniture using vacuum, broom, and carpet shampoo machine.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors; collects soiled linen; maintains housekeeping carts and trash removal.
• Walks assigned floors at shift start and end to collect newspapers, bags, trash, and soiled linens.

Who you are:

Essential Job Duties:

• Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the facility premises ina clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans rugs, carpet, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, carpet shampoo machine
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors
• Collects soiled linen for laundering
• Maintains housekeeping carts, and removes trash collected by housekeeping teams
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect newspaper bags, newspapers, trash and soiled linens.

All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.00
