Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Floor Technician at OHIO NORTHERN UNIVERSITY to maintain safe, clean floors and carpeted surfaces. The role uses cleaning equipment to sweep, mop, buff, strip, and refinish hard floors and also includes spot cleaning and waste handling.

The position is part-time with varied workdays. Experience with floor care and carpet care is preferred, and training may be provided. Sodexo offers a broad benefits package to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 12 months of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with floor care equipment and all phases of floor and carpet care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, polish, scrub, strip and refinish hard-surface floors using heavy equipment.
• Vacuum, spot clean and extract carpeted floor surfaces.
• May clean furniture and empty trash, linen, and garbage containers.
• May wash walls and maintain baseboards and cove base molding.
• May assist in training other employees.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
