Job summary

Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of hard surface and carpet floors across offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, and public spaces. The role requires teamwork, safety compliance, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least a year in floor care, familiarity with buffers, extractors, vacuums, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers, and a commitment to quality service in a facilities environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform floors care including routine mopping on hard surfaces and buffing.
• Buff, burnish, shampoo, extract carpets, stairwells, and upholstery as needed.
• Wall cleaning and dusting (high and low).
• Routine restroom, office, and break room cleaning.
• Maintenance of floor care equipment and supplies.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
• Secure work area and post safety notices before starting work.

Job description

At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Success Criteria:

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
• Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
• Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning
• Routine office and break room cleaning
• Maintenance of floor care equipment
