Job summary

Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet across offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public areas. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional communication with supervisors and customers.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of floor care experience, familiarity with stripping, waxing, and burnishing, and proficiency operating buffers, extractors, wet vacs, and scrubbers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonst_rates exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
• Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
• Floors care, including routine mopping, buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
• Wall cleaning.
• Dusting (high and low).
• Routine restroom cleaning.
• Routine office and break room cleaning.
• Maintenance of floor care equipment.

Job description

At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.
