Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a reliable Floor Technician to maintain hard surface floors and carpets across offices, corridors, lobbies and break rooms. The role involves stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction and bonneting with a focus on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of floor care experience, can operate buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers and auto scrubbers, and collaborates well with a team to meet high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of floor care experience.
• Experience stripping, waxing, and burnishing floors with minimal assistance.
• Experience operating buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
• Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.

At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
