Job summary

Harborview Health Systems is seeking a Floor Technician to join our team in Kissimmee, Florida. This part-time role covers Saturday and Sunday one week and Friday and Monday the next, supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for residents and staff.

The position involves cleaning carpeted and hardwood floors, scrubbing, polishing, and waxing floors, and performing routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality setting a plus)
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and procedures is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrubbing polishing and waxing floors of all types
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols
• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
• Duties as assigned
