Job summary

Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Floor Tech / EVS Technician to join our care-focused team. Under the direction of the housekeeping director, you will maintain floors throughout the facility and assist with resident rooms and common areas.

This full-time role requires English communication, teamwork, and a compassionate approach to serving elderly and disabled residents. Prior EVS or housekeeping experience is preferred, and you will be part of a supportive environment

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care or EVS preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with elderly and disabled populations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas
• Strip, wax, and buff floors according to cleaning schedules
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment properly
• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report any issues
• Clean equipment after each use
• Assist with cleaning resident rooms and assigned areas as needed
• Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures

Position Summary
