Job summary

NHS Management, LLC is seeking a Floor Tech to join our housekeeping team. Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, this role focuses on cleaning and maintaining floors and assisting with cleaning residents' rooms and common areas.

You will contribute to a safe, comfortable environment for our patients and staff. Responsibilities include dusting and mopping floors, stripping, waxing, and buffing according to schedule, checking equipment, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward elderly and disabled.
• English literacy (read/write) required.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Dust and mop floors in hallways and common areas.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors per schedule using approved products.
• Assist with cleaning residents' rooms as assigned.

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the floors and assisting with the cleaning of resident's room and common areas as assigned.

• Dust and wet mop floors in hallway, entryway, and common areas in assigned work areas.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors according to cleaning schedule for that area (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) using approved cleaning agents and equipment and following proper procedures.
• Check equipment for proper functioning and reports any defective equipment to the supervisor. Clean equipment after each use.
• Assist with cleaning of residents’ rooms in assigned work areas as instructed, according to cleaning schedule for that area (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) using approved cleaning agents and equipment and following proper procedures

• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be at least 18 years of age
