Responsibilities

• Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and refinishing of hard-surface floors.
• Clean and maintain carpeted areas using extraction and spot-cleaning equipment.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness, safety, and infection-prevention standards.
• Inspect floors and surfaces regularly and report maintenance concerns to leadership.
• Transport and store supplies and equipment appropriately.
• Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, hallways, and public spaces.
• Complete discharge cleaning and room setup when assigned.
• Follow all policies and environmental services standards.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

Available Shifts:

• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Schedule: Rotating weekends and three (3) holidays per year
Pay: $16-$18 based on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of all hard- surface floors and carpeted areas throughout the facility. The Floor Technician plays a critical role in supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

In addition to floor care responsibilities, this position will assist with general housekeeping duties as needed to support departmental operations and ensure patient care areas meet established cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and refinishing of hard- surface floors.

• Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, hallways, and public spaces as needed.

• Follow all organizational policies, safety procedures, and environmental services standards.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping or Environmental Services (EVS) experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends and designated holidays as required.

Uniform & Dress Code

• Employees will be provided with a uniform. During the initial onboarding period, employees should wear black scrubs for the first few weeks if available. If black scrubs are not available, employees should wear all-black attire.
• Non-slip shoes are required for safety purposes.
• Crocs and shoes with open toes or open heels are not permitted.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to provide the following:

• Two professional reference letters from a supervisor within the past two years.
• 7 Year background check
• Successful completion of a drug screening.
• Current TB test documentation.
• Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including:
