Job summary

Campus Services Group (CSG) is hiring a Floor Technician at 450 E Minnesota Ave, Deland, FL. You will maintain clean, safe floors across campus environments for students, faculty, and visitors. Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, operating auto scrubbers and burnishers, and light janitorial duties.

You will work with staff to address areas needing attention. Qualification: high school diploma preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services preferred; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.
• Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
• Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
