Job summary

Campus Services Group is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across campus environments at Episcopal Academy. The role supports students, faculty, and visitors and emphasizes high-quality service and pride in work.

The position features evening hours (Mon-Fri, 3-11pm), with pay USD 19.00–21.00 per hour and a suite of employee benefits. Training is provided, and applicants must meet safety and background requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; training provided.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Safely operate floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, burnishers).
• Maintain cleanliness of floors in classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Follow safety, infection control, and hazardous materials policies.
• Respond promptly to floor care requests and communicate with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team to identify areas needing improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Pay Rate

USD $19.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.
• Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
• Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
