Job summary

Campus Services Group is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across campus environments. The role runs Mon-Fri, 3-11:30pm, with responsibilities including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning, plus operating auto scrubbers and burnishers.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and the stamina to handle lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Training provided; background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
• Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
