Job summary

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a Floor Technician in Baltimore. This role covers floor care across campus environments, with hours from 12-8pm and weekend availability. Location at 4501 North Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21210.

You will perform stripping, waxing, buffing, and cleaning to ensure safe, clean, welcoming spaces for students, faculty, and visitors. The position includes on-the-job training, safety compliance, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Operate floor care equipment safely (auto scrubbers, burnishers).
• Maintain floors in classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Follow safety and infection control policies.
• Respond to floor care requests and communicate with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties (trash removal).
• Collaborate with supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
• Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
