Job summary

NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain flooring and related cleaning duties across the building. The role includes daily dust mopping, regular scrubbing with an automatic floor scrubber, and weekly/monthly maintenance tasks to keep floors in top condition.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or technical schooling, and be comfortable operating cleaning equipment and following safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school graduation required.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals; knowledge of safety regulations.
• Knowledge of flooring supplies and equipment and their proper care.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flooring throughout the building daily, quarterly, and yearly.
• Inspect halls daily for dust mopping; spot mop as needed.
• Scrub halls 3–4 times per week with an automatic floor scrubber for VCT or laminate.
• Vacuum carpet daily where needed.
• Strip, wax, and buff VCT as required.
• Trash removal twice daily (AM and PM) and empty trash cans monthly.
• Clean all shower rooms with an automatic scrubber monthly; clean walls as needed.
• Maintain and clean utilities in the area with scrubber quarterly.

Position: Floor Technician

Pay: $12 - $15 / hour Depending On Experience

Position Highlights:

• Maintain the flooring throughout the entire building: daily, quarterly and yearly.
• Maintain and check halls on daily basis for dust mopping. Spot mop when busy with other specific jobs.
• Scrub halls 3-4 times a week with automatic scrubber (vct flooring or laminate).
• Vacuum carpet every day. (If needed in certain area daily)
• Strip, wax and buff vct as needed.
• Carpet will be cleaned by outside company yearly and we will spot clean as needed.
• All utilities will be cleaned with scrubber quarterly, walls cleaned and disinfected and more if needed.
• Responsibility for all trash x 2 daily (A.M. and P.M.)
• Clean trash cans out monthly or as needed in utility rooms.
• Clean all shower rooms with automatic scrubber on monthly basis, to include walls.
