Job summary

Crossville Health and Rehabilitation in Crossville, AL is seeking a Floor Tech for the Day Shift to help maintain clean and safe resident spaces. The role reports to the Director of Housekeeping and supports housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas.

Under supervision, you will dust, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors, use approved cleaning agents, and follow sanitation guidelines to promote a healthy living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions and Physical & Sensory Requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors according to the facility’s cleaning schedule.
• Use approved cleaning agents and equipment following proper procedures.
• Check equipment for proper functioning and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Clean equipment thoroughly after each use.
• Assist with cleaning resident rooms and assigned work areas as needed.
• Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.

Position Summary
