Job summary

The Mariemont Care Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and enhance the cleanliness and appearance of our facility floors.

You will perform routine floor care tasks, operate floor scrubbers and buffers, strip and wax floors as needed, and report maintenance issues to the supervisor.

A flexible schedule with competitive wages, paid time off, and opportunities for overtime pay is offered; training will be provided for those new to floor care, and safety PPE is supplied.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Floor Technician or similar role preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and products.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, bend, lift heavy objects, and operate floor care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floors.
• Stripping and waxing floors as needed to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
• Operate floor care equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet extractors safely and efficiently.
• Inspect floors for damage or wear and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing floor care tasks.
• Assist with general cleaning duties in other areas of the facility as needed.
