Job summary

Coastal Building Maintenance seeks an experienced Floor Technician in Burlington, VT. You will perform commercial floor care, strip and wax floors, and operate cleaning equipment to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires safe operation of floor-care equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–1:30 AM with pay of $20–$22 per hour and weekend overtime optional. Benefits include health care and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial floor-care experience preferred.
• Experience with stripping and waxing and carpet cleaning strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate floor-care equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor machines, buffers, extractors, and other cleaning equipment safely.

• Inspect floors and identify areas requiring additional cleaning or treatment.
• Properly use and maintain floor-care equipment and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related cleaning and floor-care duties as assigned.
