Job summary

ADP is seeking a Floor Technician in Bethesda, MD to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across facilities. The role involves operating cleaning equipment, performing minimal repairs, stocking supplies, and keeping floors free of obstructions.

Responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing and waxing floors with designated machines, daily cleaning of office areas, gyms, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, while following MSDS procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors.
• Operate floor equipment (scrubbers, buffers, extractors) to strip, scrub, wax floors.
• Strip/waxing and knowledge of battery-operated floor care equipment.
• Use buffers and carpet extractors; dry foam shampooer.
• Experience in stripping and floor finishing; follow MSDS safety rules.
• Assist in daily cleaning of offices, gyms, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $25.00 Hourly

The Floor Technician's role is to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of various areas. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, conducting minimal repairs and inventory checks, arranging furniture and fixtures, organizing supplies, and keeping floors free from obstructions.

Experience Responsibilities:

• Clean, sweeps, vacuum, and polishes floors.
• Operates designated floor equipment to include auto scrubber, burnishes, buffers, carpet extractors to strip, scrub, and shampoo and wax floors, all surface cleaners, or other larger mechanical machines.
• Strip/waxing and knowledge of battery-operated floor care equipment.
• Use of buffers, carpet extractors, dry foam shampooer.
• Experience in stripping and floor finishing.
• Knowledge of and adherence to specific floor care processes, in addition to knowledge and the safe use of various chemical agents (MSDS Sheets) is required.
• Assist in daily cleaning of office area, gyms, restrooms, public areas, meeting rooms, or any or all areas of the facility with a positive attitude.
