Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Floor Technician in Fayetteville, NC to maintain floor cleanliness and facility appearance through specialized floor care and custodial tasks. The role follows contract and safety policies and offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm with a pay rate of $17.93 per hour.

Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning, and operating floor care equipment while ensuring safe chemical handling and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Six months of floor technician or custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75–100 lbs with assistance).
• Standing, bending, and independent work capabilities required.

• Strip, seal, wax, buff, and burnish hard floors.
• Clean carpets using extractors and spot-cleaning equipment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain assigned areas.
• Operate floor care equipment including scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and ride-on machines.
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and properly.
• Move furniture as needed for floor care.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Remove trash as required.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns.
• Assist with inventory and general custodial duties.

What You Will Do
