An established industry player seeks a dedicated Floor Care Technician to lead a team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within a healthcare environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Successfully pass WV DHHR Protected Services Record Check and WV CARES fingerprint-based criminal background check if assigned to Child Development Center, Chestnut Ridge Center, or Center for Hope and Healing.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 1 year of floor care experience.

1. Leads team in all floor cleaning, maintenance stripping and waxing projects.
2. Leads and assists teams in Cleaning carpets within established procedures.
3. Maintains compliance with healthcare regulatory agency bodies such as OSHA, Joint Commission, etc.
4. Maintains documentation of floor tech daily activities.
5. Reports all equipment maintenance issues in a timely manner for proper repairs.
6. Performs inventory control and stocking of materials necessary to support the floor care team of the Environmental Services Departments.
7. Completes specific training courses, as documented on training records and participates in on-the-job training.
8. Teaches and trains assigned team members in the proper, safe, operation and use of floor care equipment (i.e., floor burnishes, floor vacuums, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, side by sides, wet/dry vacuums, boost machines, etc.).
9. Assists in coordinating specific project assignments throughout the hospital.
10. Oversees project team members in assigning, educating, and training in various skilled floor care projects.
11. Performs a wide range of skilled floor care duties.
12. Provides relief assistance to floor techs as needed.
13. Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.

1. Must have the physical capability to stand, walk, reach, climb, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, for a maximum of eight (8) hours
2. Must have the physical capability to lift and/or carry 25-50 pounds for a maximum of eight (8) hours.
3. Must have the physical capability to push and/or pull 25 pounds for a maximum of eight (8) hours and 15 - 90+ pounds for a maximum of two (2) hours.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Basic computer skill required to perform administrative tasks related to floor care documentation and maintenance programs.
2. Ability to observe, evaluate and reassign work tasks as needed.
3. Ability to oversee/train a minimum of 5 project team members.
4. Ability to function as a team member to achieve department goals.
5. Effective communication skills and ability to follow up on any issues in a timely manner.
