Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated's Turfway Park Racing & Gaming in Florence, KY is seeking a Floor Tech for special projects. You will sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors across the facility and operate cleaning equipment including extractors and scrubbers to maintain a pristine environment.

Responsibilities include handling cleaning chemicals safely, sanitizing chairs and rails, removing trash, and reporting repairs or deep cleaning needs.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent; related experience acceptable.
• Able to obtain Kentucky Racing license.
• Experience operating floor cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.

• Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment including extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers and overhead lifts.
• Be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals.
• Cleans and sanitizes chairs, hand rails, doors, tables and games.
• Collects and removes trash throughout interior and exterior areas.
• Notifies management concerning need for repairs or deep cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors
• Able to operate all types of cleaning equipments including riding equipments such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers and overhead lifts
• Be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals.
• Operates electric-powered equipment designed to perform certain duties.
• Cleans and sanitizes chairs, hand rails, doors, tables and games throughout the facility.
• Collects and removes trash throughout interior and exterior public and non-public areas.
• Notifies management concerning need for repairs or deep cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• GED or High School diploma or up to 1 month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to obtain Kentucky Racing license.
