Job summary

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming is seeking a Barback for a full-time role in Florence, KY. You will keep VIP and other bars stocked, prepare garnishes, and assist with bar operations in a fast-paced setting.

Must be 21+, have at least 1 year of bar or similar experience, and be able to obtain a Kentucky Racing License. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep VIP bar, Wells and pop-up bars stocked.
• Prepare garnishes.
• Refill ice wells.
• Restock glassware, utensils and napkins.
• Restock liquor bottles.
• Change beer kegs.
• Restock bar for next shift.
• Process shipments of liquor and beer.
• Track opening/closing inventory.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeping VIP bar, Wells and Pop-up Bars and restaurant bars fully stocked at all times
• Preparing garnishes
• Refilling ice wells
• Replenishing the bar with glasses, toothpicks, napkins, coasters, ice cubes, etc.
• Restocking liquor bottles
• Changing beer kegs
• Restocking the bar for the following shift
• Putting away shipments of liquor and beer
• Tracking opening and closing inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills And Abilities

• Must be 21 years of age
• A minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role
• Aptitude for multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment
• Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
• Circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines

Education And Experience

• Must be able to obtain Kentucky Racing License.
