Job summary

Tennessee State Veterans Homes is seeking a part-time Janitor/Floor Tech to clean facility floors and maintain a sanitary environment at the Murfreesboro site. The role runs 24 hours per week from 6 am to 2 pm, with pay scale $13.40–$19.82 per hour.

The successful candidate will follow all safety procedures, operate floor cleaning equipment, and perform interior and exterior cleaning, trash removal, and other duties as assigned to support a clean, safe facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure floors and rooms are cleaned properly.
• Follow safety procedures when performing janitorial services.
• Operate floor cleaning machine throughout the facility.
• Maintain the facility in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition per policies.
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning.
• Take out trash and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Scale: $13.40 - $19.82

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Janitor/Floor Tech (24 hours per week/6 am to 2pm) who will execute the cleaning of facility floors to ensure an attractive, clean, and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the floors and rooms within the facility are cleaned in the proper manner.
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing janitorial services.
• Responsible for running floor cleaning machine throughout facility.
• Maintaining the facility in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition; and must be able to perform the assigned duties and functions in accordance with the standard policy and procedures.
• Interior and exterior cleaning.
• Responsible for taking out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
