Job summary

Scott Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lakeland, FL is hiring a Full-Time Floor Tech to perform daily housekeeping duties, including carpet and tile maintenance, and to uphold clean, safe, and comfortable facilities. The role involves exposure risk level 1 and requires adherence to federal, state, local, and departmental guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and prior skilled nursing facility experience; knowledge of floor machines is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of side by side, boost machine, and high-speed buffer.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of carpet throughout the building including shampooing, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Maintenance of all tile throughout the building including washing, waxing, buffing, and stripping.
• Performs housekeeping duties when needed.
• Responsible for trash runs during the day from all assigned locations.
• Other duties as assigned

Floor Tech Job Summary:

The floor tech Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current Federal, State, Local and Departmental, rules, regulations and procedures, and guidelines. Assures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The position carries blood and body fluid “Exposure Risk Level 1.”
