Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Floor Technician at our Mill Creek/Silsbee location to perform scheduled floor care tasks and related cleaning duties under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

The role involves mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, carpet care, furniture arrangement, and general cleaning of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware. Experience in floor care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care is required.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience using floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floor surfaces as directed.
• Buffs and waxes floors; strips and waxes floors; top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Uses proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and adheres to safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with policy.
• Responsible for patient/resident safety and comfort.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Floor Technician position is to perform scheduled floor care tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may also mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
