Job summary

GDI is seeking a floor care technician for evening shifts in the Pittsburgh area. You will strip, seal, wax, and polish floors, clean restrooms and common areas, and transport to multiple GDI locations as needed.

You’ll operate buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and vacuums, while following safety procedures and barricade guidelines. The role requires 1 year of floor-care experience (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of floor-care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to various job sites.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean commercial buildings, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash.
• Travel to various GDI locations to complete floor care and projects.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment including buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and vacuums.
• Follow safety procedures and properly place safety barricades.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (5pm - 1am)

Weekends when necessary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of floor-care experience preferred.
• Commercial cleaning or flooring experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to various job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions and perform physical labor.
