Job summary

Cedar Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a floor care technician to maintain clean, safe floors across patient areas and public spaces. You will perform routine dusting and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing and extraction to keep surfaces in top condition.

Candidates should be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions, work in a healthcare environment, and meet any pre-employment requirements as determined by the facility and company.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English is essential.
• No formal education is required. A high-school diploma is desirable.
• Ability to provide and follow oral, written, and verbal instructions is vital.
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment and conduct themselves professionally as required.
• Ability to fulfill any and all pre-employment requirements as deemed necessary by the individual facility and company.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor maintenance: dust and wet mop hard surfaces and carpet.
• Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors.
• Maintain areas including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and dining rooms.
• Follow company policies, federal and state laws, local standards and guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

Floor care technicians are generally responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies,
entrances, stairwells and other public areas such as dining rooms.Perform work duties in accordance with company policies, federal and state laws, local
standards and guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Attend all company-designated training as required by manager
