Job summary

THE GJELINA GROUP seeks a diligent dishwasher responsible for washing all dishes, maintaining cleanliness of BOH areas, and supporting kitchen prep and sanitation. You will monitor equipment, organize work areas, and assist with general kitchen tasks as needed.

The role requires punctuality, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, and prior restaurant experience. This is an hourly, non-exempt position based at our Los Angeles location.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash all dishes, kitchen equipment, and food preparation equipment.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas including the line, BOH prep areas, storage, and walk-in.
• Monitor dishwashing machine to ensure proper operation, clean and maintain dish machine and equipment.
• Puts dishes back in designated areas.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen, including counters, sweeping and mopping the floors.
• Ensure proper garbage and trash disposal and removal.
• Assist with kitchen preparation, if applicable.
