Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works Inc. is seeking a licensed nurse to provide total resident care on a designated unit, supervise care staff, and coordinate with medical providers.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient dignity, updating records, and ensuring that treatments and safety protocols are followed. Evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required with potential weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a School of Nursing.
• Must hold a current license by the State of Indiana in good standing.
• Knowledgeable of nursing skills and practices.
• Possess health certificate/examination as required by State agencies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for total care of all assigned residents on his/her unit and supervision of direct care staff to ensure residents' needs are met.
• Ensure restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered.
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintain open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the unit and staff concerns.
• Explain treatment goals and expectations to resident and family to obtain feedback and cooperation.
• Supervise/manage personnel on assigned hall/unit(s).
• Verify that medical records are properly maintained and updated.
• Review daily nursing staff assignments to ensure they match ability and training.
• Assist and instruct nursing staff on unit in special treatments and care.
• Ensure all ordered treatments are carried out and lab work/x-rays are conducted per physician orders.
