Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. The role covers total resident care on the assigned unit, supervision of direct care staff, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Shifts 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am with every-other-weekend availability are required. Responsibilities include medication administration, care plan updates, documentation, and ensuring unit safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a School of Nursing with Indiana license in good standing.
• Knowledgeable in nursing skills and practices.
• Health certificate/examination as required by State agencies.

Responsibilities

• Care for all assigned residents on the unit and supervise direct care staff.
• Maintain restorative nursing care as ordered and update care plans.
• Communicate openly with nursing management about conditions and staff concerns.
• Explain treatment goals to residents and families to obtain cooperation.
• Supervise personnel on assigned hall/unit and ensure proper records.
• Administer medications and verify treatment orders with timely reporting.
• Monitor resident condition, coordinate with physicians, and participate in care conferences.
• Coordinate nursing with dietary, social services, PT, and others.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient-family education.
