Job summary

Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking licensed RNs or LPNs to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a senior living setting. You’ll follow resident care plans, administer medications, and monitor health status.

You will lead and support the care team, coordinate with physicians and families, participate in care planning and quality improvement, while upholding infection control and safety standards. Competitive shifts and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Wisconsin.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with care plans, orders, and policies.

Deliver Compassionate, Clinical Care:

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with resident care plans, physician orders, and community policies.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and intervene as needed to ensure health and safety.

Lead & Support the Care Team:

• Support CNAs and other direct care staff to ensure consistent, quality care.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care planning, resident assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.

Foster a Safe & Supportive Environment:

• Uphold infection control, safety, and emergency response protocols at all times.
• Promote dignity, comfort, and respect in all resident interactions.
• Respond promptly to call lights and urgent care needs with a calm and professional presence.

Be a Clinical & Community Leader:

• Mentor new staff and share knowledge with team members.
• Collaborate with families and other departments to meet holistic care goals.
• Represent the nursing team positively in community events and care conferences.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Clinical Skills & Big Heart)

Licensure & Credentials:

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of Wisconsin.
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred, but not required.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure while leading others.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout a full shift.

Current Openings:

• Full-Time PM Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
• Weekend Warrior (Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday): AM or PM shift
• Casual/PRN

Full-time and part-time positions include an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

LPN | Starting at $25.00/hour
RN | Starting at $33.75/hour

PM and NOC shifts earn additional shift differential.
