Job description

The front-of-house management team is seeking a FLOOR MANAGER to join them in welcoming guests to Joe's Pub and The Library, Chef Andrew Carmellini's American restaurant and cabaret space.

Joe's Pub at The Public is one of New York City's most celebrated venues for emerging and established performance artists.

The Library at The Public Theater, located on the mezzanine level of the Public Theater, features Chef Andrew Carmellini's American menu, offering a mix of classics, signatures, shareable appetizers, bar snacks, dinner plates, and desserts.

Ideal candidates possess:

• 1-3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, management experience preferred.
• A warm and gracious outlook, with the ability to create stellar guest experiences.
• A professional and polished approach to leadership.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a team-player mentality.
• The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled with OpenTable and MICROS POS, a plus.
• DOH Food Protection certification.
