Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Chef ANDREW CARMELLINI and the front-of-house management team are seeking a FLOOR MANAGER to join them at LAFAYETTE Grand Café and Bakery.

LAFAYETTE is an everyday grand café and bakery in ceremony of French cooking at the corner of Lafayette Street and Great Jones Street in downtown Manhattan. Our market-driven bistro menu is a worldly homage to the genre that spans a variety of regions, from Provence to Normandy to neighboring Mediterranean coasts, offering a re-mastery of traditional dishes we love and some signatures.

Ideal candidates possess:

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, management experience preferred.
  • A warm and gracious outlook, the ability to create stellar guest experiences.
  • A professional and polished approach to leadership with a passion for hospitality.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic with the mentality of a team player.
  • The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled with OpenTable and MICROS POS, a plus.
  • DOH Food Protection certified.
